The Federation is the only organization of its type with cross border membership and WSP exhibition sponsorship. It continues its member organization communications with THE FEDERATED PHILATELIST newsletter as edited by Larry Mann and this web site. The annual Federation meeting takes place at the club hosted site of the annual Pacific International Philatelic Exhibition (PIPEX), the philatelic exhibition of the Federation and an APS World Series of Philately (WSP) show.

• The twentysecond annual Philatelic Symposium at Moses Lake Washington has been scheduled for April 14th 2012 at the Best Western Hotel in Moses Lake. The Hospitality room will be open at 5:30 PM on April 13th and the meeting will begin at 8:30 AM on April 14th.
  
  John Arn of the Inland Empire Philatelic Society established this very popular annual philatelic "get together" in about 1990. He had to give up the effort in 2009 and the Northwest Federation agreed to pick up the cost of the meeting and dining room rentals, which are pretty expensive now. We intend to keep it as close as we can to the way John envisioned and managed it. Rooms will still be available for $70.00 a night (Key word: Stamps) including a buffet breakfast on the 14th and 15th but lunch and dinner and registration will be a little higher. Ruth Caswell from the Puget Sound area has lined up the speakers and David and Anne Harris in Spokane are doing the logistics. Steve Recher from Tri-Cities will have a crew doing the auction, and Howard Ness from the Inland Empire Philatelic Society will be the auctioneer.
  
  We will continue to have the auction before dinner, but accounts will be settled after dinner. No auction items, sold or not sold, will be removed until after dinner. Any thoughts on this will be appreciated and can be sent to David Harris - Link in the next paragraph.
